Phenomenal, is all I have to say. Phenomenal. Honestly, I think this is great. It is far to easy to read this as though I intend irony or sarcasm, but there are people out there in the world who have freely chosen to look at my art. I think that is amazing. And now I sound naive. Yes, it isn’t 10,000 after three days like Diesel Sweeties. I have no idea how many, or if any at all of the PDFs have been down-loaded, but I do know the download in Ireland isn’t from a relative. :-)

Three or four days ago, I was looking into the possibility of using Book Creator on the iPad to do the same. A short twisted path of instructions required a special tax number from the IRS for foreign citizens and a few weeks of passing around notarized photocopies of my passport.

There are free PDF files available from the links just over there to the right. The files are big, and readable, of course, on a Mac or PC.

This shorter, more compact version is more attractive, livelier and somewhat more interactive, and designed especially for the iPad, and the whole thing was so damned easy.

I’ve been engaged in a protracted push, pull, leading, following, yielding, gouging, scraping, sanding, layering since the last post and now these 8 panels are done. All are 24 by 38 inches acrylic on masonite.

The concert hall at the Syndey Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 42,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 16 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Drawn first in the new version of Zen Brush, then dropped into Brushes for colour.

Downloaded AsianPainting. Works on iPad, built for iPhone. You expand it with the 2X button. The constraints of colour choice is demanding. No white. You commit with few undos. Imported into Procreate for some detail work, as AsianPaintings brushes don’t do really tiny fine work, and no backing up to lift a tone. I wish Zen Brush had colours.
